Following the acquisition of the former Travis Perkins builder’s yard in Hartley Wintney at the end of 2020, the team at Stratfield Homes have been busy undertaking various surveys to understand the baseline conditions and constraints of the site. These surveys include heritage, topographical (encompassing existing and surrounding buildings), architectural and conservation, highways, ecology, trees, drainage as well as soil investigations / contamination, all of which will help to inform our initial thoughts on the development plans for the site.
Prior to the submission of any detailed planning application, the team at Stratfield Homes will be looking to consult with the community to talk through their initial proposals and listen to any comments that the community would like to raise regarding the site. Stratfield Homes will also seek to obtain pre-application feedback from Hart District Council as well as from Hartley Wintney Parish Council regarding the redevelopment of the site. All feedback will be collated and reviewed, prior to finalising any formal planning application.
Stratfield Homes is currently working up the programme for engaging with the community and the council and they will provide further details on when and how this will take place in due course.
Further details regarding the proposals for the site will be made available online for the community to review.
Paul Cooper, Managing Director at Stratfield Homes, said: “We are really looking forward to bringing this new site forward. Our team is very much local to the area. In fact, our head office is based in Hartley Witney itself, so we know the village well. It is really important to us that the scheme we look to deliver here is of unequalled quality, fits in seamlessly with the surrounding properties and meets the local housing needs. We will be taking considerable time to engage with the local community and the local councillors here, using this feedback to shape what we hope will become a welcome and desirable addition to the village.”
