Following the sell-out success of its first scheme, Claybourne Gardens, one purchaser explains why she can’t fault her new home here.
With all of the homes at Claybourne Gardens now sold, residents have been enjoying life in their new homes, while forming a close-knit community.
For one of the purchasers, Shelley Hammond, a new build hadn’t featured high on her wish list. However, after discovering Claybourne Gardens online, she was persuaded by family, who live locally, to make an appointment to view. Since then, she hasn’t looked back!
After an initial visit to the development, Shelley knew that she was keen to make this her next home and it wasn’t long before she had made a reservation. After having had her previous flat on the market for some time, everything came together when she accepted an offer, just a few weeks after viewing the homes at Claybourne Gardens.
Shelley has now moved into her new home and is already enjoying life here. Talking of her new home, Shelley said: “I absolutely love it here. From my first viewing of the show home, I knew that this is where I wanted to buy. I hadn’t particularly been looking for a new build, but it just surpassed all of my expectations. The finish is incredible, the kitchen is beautiful, and I have a lovely south facing garden.
“It was probably the master suite that first won me over. The bedroom is huge and to have fitted wardrobes and a spacious en-suite too – it’s just stunning. The homes are so well insulated, we have all commented on how lovely and warm they are and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout too, which just enhance the whole experience of living here. I find myself saying this a lot, but I just can’t fault it!”
Prior to her visit to the development, Shelley was not aware of the Government Help to Buy scheme but after talking it through with one of the sales team on site, she decided to investigate further and was able to use the scheme to assist with her purchase here.
Shelley said: “Help to Buy wasn’t really on my radar before visiting the development but after looking into it, it proved to be a great asset. Now I have a lovely new home that not only suits me now but will suit me for years to come too.”
Talking of her experience of the sales team on site, Shelley added: “Tracey in the sales team was absolutely invaluable. She was a great support the whole time, answering any questions I had and explaining anything I was unsure about. You really felt like she was a safe pair of hands and that she genuinely cared and was there to guide you through the entire process. Since moving in, she has introduced new neighbours to each other and it’s really helped to foster a friendly sense of community here. She’s been brilliant.”
Claybourne Gardens comprises just 14, beautifully specified three and four bedroom homes, situated on a private, tree-lined road in Ottershaw, Surrey. The mixture of terraced and semi-detached homes are traditional in their exterior, while inside, the homes are spread over three storeys. All of the homes have now sold.
