For local Hartley Wintney resident Debbie Searle, her new home at Albion Yard has been the perfect downsize.
Having lived in the village in a larger property for a number of years, it was a little while after the sad passing away of her husband that Debbie decided it was time to move to a home that was more manageable and more cost effective to run. Keen to stay local to friends and family – and the nearby stables where her three horses call home, everything fell into place when one of her neighbours, who happens to be a Director at Stratfield Homes, announced a bespoke new development, which they would be delivering in the village.
Debbie got in touch and arranged to meet with the Stratfield team to look at the early plans for the development. It was one of the semi-detached, two-bedroom homes, which caught her eye and after putting her own property on the market, Debbie was quick to reserve her new home at Albion Yard.
Speaking of her experience, Debbie said: “I knew that I wanted to move to a smaller property, but there just wasn’t anything available in the village that met my needs. I really wanted to stay local as it’s such a lovely place to live, and I have so many good friends here. When I found out about Albion Yard, everything just fell into place. I was really impressed by the plans, and I had confidence that Stratfield Homes would deliver on its promise of exceptional quality.”
Debbie was one of the first purchasers to reserve a new home at Albion Yard, reserving off-plan. Speaking of this experience. Debbie said: “By reserving my home off-plan, I was able to have an input into certain elements – from kitchen units to bathroom tiles – which meant that I could put my own stamp on it. As a small developer, I found the Stratfield Homes team to be very accommodating and to really offer a personal touch. My horses come with a lot of tack, which I was worried about storing when I downsized. The Stratfield team really listened to my concerns – and even better, they came up with a solution! They have built for me a generous shed in the garden, which not only houses all of my horse-riding equipment, but there is room for my washing machine and tumble dryer out there too. It sounds like a small thing, but it has really made a huge difference, and really helped to alleviate my concerns around storage when moving from a much larger property.”
Now she has moved in, Debbie couldn’t be happier in her new home: “My new home is smaller, easier to clean and easier to manage, which means I have so much more free time – I couldn’t be happier! The quality of finish throughout is superb, there are so many thoughtful touches, and the fixtures and fittings are all of a really high quality. I have a beautiful new home in a village that I love, it was definitely the right move for me, and I would certainly recommend a Stratfied home to others.”
Talking of the sales team, Debbie added: “The sales team was fantastic throughout. They were always quick to come back to me and kept me informed throughout. I always got the sense that they really cared about the customers and about providing a positive experience – in fact, by the end, they had become like friends!”
